Standing Rules are those rules of a continuing nature that may be adopted at any meeting without the necessity for previous notice being given. at any future session, any of the standing rules may, b a majority vote, be suspended for that session only, and therefore, they cannot interfere with the freedom of future sessions. A standing rule may be amended or rescinded by a two-thirds (2/3) vote without notice. If notice of the proposed action was given at the previous meeting, or in the call for that meeting, it may be amended or rescinded by a majority vote.
- Principal Office: The principal office of this organization shall be located at the residence of the current District Director.
- Fiscal Year: the organization's fiscal year shall be from June 1, through May 31, in the following year.
- Voice and Vote: Members of the Board of Directors shall each have one voice and vote. In the event a club President is serving as one of the officers of this organization, his/her club shall be represented by an additional member of the club.
- Chairmanship or Responsibility: Each member of the Board of Directors is expected to assume a chairmanship or responsibility for some part of the group.
- Majority Vote: Unless otherwise provided in these Bylaws or table of rules relating to motions requiring two-thirds (2/3) vote, in
Robert's Rules
of Order, Newly Revised any legitimate motion of resolution can be adopted by the affirmative vote of a majority of the voting body present at any meeting at which there is a quorum present.
- Club's Standing A club in good standing shall have members with a current dues structure.
- Office of Board Member-at-Large: For the purpose of these Bylaws, the term "office" is not restricted in its application to the Officers of this organization. Board Member-at-Large shall also be deemed to occupy an office.
- Cell phones and pagers: All cell phones and pager are to be silenced during District meetings.
